We are reintroducing an agricutural environment in an otherwise urban landscape

What started out as a family farm raising cattle, goats, hogs and row crops almost a century ago, fueled a sense of purpose in our family to continue a tradition not afforded to all landscapes. When the opportunity arose to expand our flock to solar farms and implement regenerative grazing techniques, we not only jumped on it; we lept in with both feet! We are able to reintroduce an agriculutral environment in an otherwise urban landscape. With our flocks, we are able to build the soil back with animal impact and lower our carbon footprint.

Happy = Healthy

Why do we chose to raise our flocks and herds without added hormones or steroids? Simple... It's not necessary. A happy animal is a healthy animal.

It's A Family Tradition

By being a fourth generation herdsman, we are able to implement not only holistic techniques of yesteryear but also proven knowledge of today. All this is done in order to improve the quality of life of our animals. Being a good land steward is a tradition that has been instilled into us since birth.

FAQs

Abstract Goat Doodle

Why choose goat?

It is best when it is cooked low and slow just set it and forget it. Being higher in protein compared to beef and chicken and much lower in bad cholesterol and in levels of saturated fat and calories makes it a great protein when trying to lose weight. This is why Global News hails it as being superior nutrionally.

Why choose lamb?

Lamb can be cooked on the grill, smoker, crockpot or oven making it incredibly versitile. It is packed with health promoting omega 3 fatty acids which in turn helps reduce levels of bad cholesterol. It is also easier to digest than beef which is helpful with chronic bowel diseases. It also has Vitamin E which is an antioxidant.
